Summer activities at the River House part II

And now, ladies and gentlemen, part II of our summer offerings.

Surfing

Ever wanted to ride the waves of the Pacific Ocean? Well, here’s your

Surfers with the River House take a break from surfing to snap a group photo.

chance! The River House offers surfing lessons for beginning and intermediate surfers. There are four sessions spanning June 22 and August 15, leaving plenty of chances to catch some waves. With the help of the River House instructors, you’ll learn the fundamentals of surfing. Warning: If you go on this trip you WILL have fun. Seriously.

Geocaching

What’s that? You don’t even know what geocaching is? Very simply, it’s high-tech treasure hunting. And did you know geocaching was started right here in Oregon? So, really, as an Oregonian, you owe it to yourself to go. You’ll explore nooks and crannies of Eugene you never knew existed.

Hiking

Eugene and the surrounding area has miles and miles of excellent trails for hiking, and the River House is here to help you take advantage of those! Maybe if you’re lucky, you’ll find some new ones you didn’t know existed! Wanna hike Fuji Mountain? Well, as the Rec Guide says, you don’t have to go all the way to Japan for this one! Wanna hike the beautiful Oregon coast? The Baker Beach hike is the one for you! The River House offers plenty more hikes with plenty of variety, so you’re sure to find something you’ll like!
