Ahhh.. September!

             With the month of September comes the first day of fall classes, the first football game of the year and many other events. The events calendar found at www.uoregon.edu lists a variety of free and cheap events that are sponsored by the University throughout the month of September as well as every month of the year. The following are a couple events that are going on in September that are worth checking out!

Wed, Aug 4 2010–Sun, Dec 19 2010 SuWeThFrSa
Museum of Natural and Cultural History
11 a.m.–5 p.m.

This exhibit explores the evolution of horses and grasslands in North America and how they are intertwined. University students and faculty are free, and general admission is $3. There is free general admission to this museum every Wednesday, located right behind the Law Library.

Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art
11 a.m.–5 p.m.

This exhibit includes photographs of paintings and screenprints by Warhol, and Gus Van Zant’s characters in film which helped them in creating their craft. Free for museum members, UofO faculty and staff, $5 for adults and $3 for seniors. The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art is locatede right on campus, to the left of the Knight Library.

Fri, Apr 16 2010–Fri, Jun 8 2012 Sun-Fri
Mills International Center Gallery, Erb Memorial Union
6:30 p.m.–9 p.m.

The Spring Art Show is hosted by the Mills International Center Gallery and displays the work of artists from around the world who are currently in Eugene as well as work by many local artists. This event is free.
